Personally, I find the cognitive perspective most applicable because it emphasizes mental processes like thinking and problem-solving, which are essential in understanding human behavior. This perspective offers insights into how individuals perceive, interpret, and respond to their environment, making it highly relevant in everyday life and therapeutic settings.


b) What are some of the accepted principles in psychological studies to ensure the safety and well-being of participants, and what is the role of ethics committees in this process? (See Lesson-2)

(a) What are the various uses of intelligence tests and how do they impact decision making in personal selection, diagnosis of mental handicap as well as in guidance and counseling?


(b) What are the three qualities or Gunas emphasized in the Indian approach to personality, and how do they influence a person’s behavior according to Bhagvadgita? Provide a brief description of each of the Gunas. (See Lesson- 18)

a) What are some common self-destructive behaviors that increase the risk for health and reduce longevity? Prepare detailed speech on this for people to understand it or, and apply it in their daily life. (See Lesson-25)


b) What is the difference between the independent and interdependent self-construal, and how are they shaped by culture? Collect information on the understanding of this by conducting interviews with atleast six friends or family members. Write report by comparing the collected information to the definition provided in text. (See Lesson-16)
